Frequently Asked Questions

How should I prepare for my tattoo session ?

Make sure you are well rested, have eaten a good meal 1-2 hours before hand, and stay hydrated.
Come with your phone or tablet fully charged, and feel free to bring a friend for support.

What should I wear for my tattoo session ?

It’s much more important to dress for comfort then to dress for fashion. Come in clothing that is comfy, loose is usually better, and make sure there is easy access to the area you are getting tattooed.
Keep in mind you may get cold, or want to keep certain areas covered, so dress with that in mind.

What are some things you need to add to your checklist before coming in for a tattoo session ?

Take a shower.
Don’t bring the kids if you are doing long tattoo sessions.
Bring proper identification with you.
Eat before you come in.

What is the pain level of a tattoo ?

A tattoo in most locations is not overly painful. It feels like an uncomfortable sunburn, a cat scratch,
or someone drawing on your sunburn with a pen. It doesn’t feel good, but it’s entirely bearable
for most locations. Some locations such as knees, elbows, stomach, and head may be more intense.
Eating well beforehand and getting plenty of sleep will ensure the experience is as comfortable for you as possible.

What inks do you use ?

I am dedicated to using only the highest quality tattoo inks for my clients . All of our inks are made in the USA or England and are tested rigorously for safety. Additionally, these inks are sterilized and bacteria-free. The brands I use are Eternal Ink, Dynamic Colors, and Empire Ink.

Do you also do body piercings ?

Sorry, I only do tattoos exclusively but I know an excellent body piercing in Los Angeles. His name is Marv. Contact him through his Instagram account @marvelouspiercer

PRICING QUESTIONS

What is your shop minimum for tattoos ?

My shop minimum is $1500, which covers supplies, setup and time. You may not realize, but I go through the same amount of supplies for a medium as I do for a large design , and everything must be cleaned and sterilized correctly. Due to COVID-19 we are also taking extra cleaning and sanitation steps to prevent the spread of Covid 19.

How much will my tattoos cost ?

Tattoos are charged by the piece as most of my realism style tattoos take longer than 4 hours.
The price of a piece is determined by subject, style, placement, colors, detail, and size. Call me or come in for a consultation to find out. I don’t mind trying to give quotes online or by phone, however please understand that it’s most accurate to get quotes in person. All quotes not done in person are estimates and I reserve the right to change them if necessary.
